When only 1 mark was required to get passed

I was in 9th class when for the first time I was failed in mid term at school. I got 49 marks out of 100. I went to Dr. Ali Ahmed (my chemistry teacher and dy head master at habib public school). He said " i could give you one mark junaid, its nothing for me but if i would clear you today you will never care for this 1 mark."
Today when student calls me for marks i recall those memories. Thanks to dr Ali Ahmed who taught me such a good lesson to not to beg marks ever and struggle hard to achieve your goal in life.

Moulana Touqeer Raza Khan visits Darul Uloom Deoband

In a move seen as a sign of reconciliation between two dominant schools of Islamic thought, Maulana Tauqeer Raza Khan, a noted Barelvi cleric, Monday paid a surprise visit to Darul Uloom Deoband, the seminary of the Deobandi school of thought. Khan interacted with the rector of the seminary, Mufti Abul Qasim Nomani, and emphasised the need for unity to fight the “common enemy”. The meeting took place as both clerics accused the government of deliberately trying to target Muslim men and drive a wedge between community members.
“This is the time for unity. We are as Indian as anybody else and we will do everything to protect the unity and integrity of the country. At the same time, we will not allow any forces to malign and sideline this vast community,” Khan said in Deoband.
He was in Uttar Pradesh’s Deoband to meet the family of Shakir Ansari, one of the three boys arrested by the Delhi Police for their suspected ideological leaning towards banned terror outfit, Jaish-e-Mohammed (JeM).
After visiting the family, Khan took a surprising detour to Darul Uloom Deoband. The Barelvi and Deobandi school of thoughts have had differences over theological issues which in some instances have also led to violence. Even though the clerics from both sides interact with each other, it is very rare for a person from either side to visit the other’s seminary.

Mufti Taqi Usmani is a great famous scholar of the Muslim world. He is well known all over the world. He has been giving Shariah Rulings and teaching in Islamic subjects since the last 5 decades. The following article has been taken from his detailed speech about Shab-e-Barat. in this speech he explained the Reality of Shab-e-Barat. www.darsequranonline.blogspot.com is publishing this article with the thanks of monthly Albalagh. Do not forget to give your Comments.

Did Prophet Mohammad (pbuh) saw ALLAH?

Did Prophet Muhammad (صلى الله عليه وسلم) see Allah (سبحانه وتعالى) on the night of ascension?

This article shall have abundant proofs from Qur'an but first we would like to reveal to the world a false translation of hadith in Sahih Muslim. Many people read translation of this hadith and start believing that it was actually what Prophet (Peace be upon him) said without verifying the original Arabic and how Muhaditheen read the word "أَنَّى "

 In Light of Qur'an

Translation: (7): While he was in the highest part of the horizon.(8): Then he approached and came closer(9): And was at a distance of but two bow-lengths or (even) nearer. (10): So did (Allah) convey the inspiration to His Servant- (conveyed) what He (meant) to convey. (11): The (Prophet's) (mind and) heart in no way falsified that which he saw. (12): Will ye then dispute with him concerning what he saw? [Al Qur'an, Chapter 53, Verse 7-12]

In the 12th verse our Lord Almighty is challenging the whole world that “WILL YE THEN DISPUTE WITH HIM CONCERNING WHAT HE SAW”, had it been seeing Gabriel only then that would not have been a great challenge because previous Prophets like Musa Kaleem-Ullah (Peace be upon him) had the privilege to talk “DIRECTLY WITH ALLAH” and Ibrahim (alaih salam) was shown the kingdoms of Heaven which was a far superior thing than seeing Gabriel, hence from Nass of Qur'an it now becomes established that vision of Allah was finally reserved for Prophet Muhammad (Peace be upon him) as hadith of Ibn Abbas (RA) and many others prove it (Which shall come in the hadith section of this article)

Let us see the detailed Tafsir of these verses by Imam Ibn-ul-Jawzi (rah),  he explains the 8th and 9th verses in light of Sahih ahadith and Aqwaal

Translation: There are three famous sayings regarding the saying of Allah i.e. Then he approached and came closer

First: That is Allah Azza wajjal as it is narrated by Bukhari and Muslim in “Sahihayn” the hadith from Sharik bin Abi Numayr who heard from Anas bin Malik (ra) who said: The Irresistible, the Lord of Honor and Majesty approached and came closer till He was about two bow lengths or (even) nearer [Sahih Bukhari Hadith # 7518, Sahih Muslim Hadith # 162]

...and It is narrated by Abu Salama from Ibn Abbas (ra) that {He approached} refers to Allah coming nearthis is adopted by Maqatil (rah) who said: Allah came near to Muhammad (Peace be upon him) on the night of Isra And was at a distance of but two bow-lengths or (even) nearer, however It is written in the book Al Mughni that this coming nearer does not refer to coming closer in sense of bodies nor distance as that is the case with bodily creations and Allah is High of such thing being attributed to him.

The Second: That It was Muhammad (Peace be upon him) who went near Allah, this is said by Ibn Abbas (ra) and Qurzi(ra) too.

The Third: It was Gibril and there is Kalaam in this Qawl.. (Then Ibn Jawzi shows the opinion of Sahaba like Sayyidah Aisha - RA who were of the opinion that Prophet - Peace be upon him did not see Allah, why Sayyidah Aisha - RA believed such and how other Sahaba differed with her shall be explained in detail Insha'Allah)

Reference: Imam Ibn Jawzi in Zad al Maseer fi Ilm at Tafsir, Volume No. 8, Page No. 65-66

Hence From Qur'an and Sahih hadiths of Bukhari and Muslim which give best sharh of 8th and 9th verses It is proven that Prophet (Peace be upon him) saw Allah (Anas bin Malik R.A who is claimed to have rejected sight of Allah is proving in these ahadith that Prophet - Peace be upon him did see Allah, It is fundamental Usool of Hadith that If same sahabi says 2 contrary things then “Masbat (proof)” takes over “Nafi (i.e. rejection)”, so according to this Usool itself it is soundly established that the Prophet Peace be upon him did indeed see Allah and the Nafi of this has to be rejected)

False Translation of hadith in Sahih Muslim

Book 1, Number 0341: (Sahih Muslim - online version)

It is narrated on the authority of Abu Dharr : I asked the Messenger of Allah (may peace be upon him): Did you see thy Lord? He said: He is a Light, how could I see Him?

Next Hadith:

Book 1, Number 0342: (Sahih Muslim - online version)

Abdullah b. Shaqiq reported: I said to Abu Dharr: Had I seen the Messenger of Allah, I would have asked him. He (Abu Dharr) said: What is that thing that you wanted to inquire of him ? He said: I wanted to ask him whether he had seen his Lord. Abu Dharr said: I, in fact, inquired of him, and he replied: I saw Light.

First one (#0341) is a severely false translation. If we accept it on face value then the very next hadith (#0342) will contradict the previous one. Remember Imam Muslim (rah) was an expert in hadith sciences let alone he not knowing that he has narrated 2 totally contradicting hadiths adjacent to each other in his magnificent Sahih collection.

False translation of first hadith (#0341) states: “:He is a Light, how could I see Him?

Here the translation claims that Allah is a light so how could He be seen?!

Now the next hadith (#0342) says: "I, in fact, inquired of him, and he replied: “I SAW LIGHT”

Let us now move towards the Arabic of first hadith which actually proves without doubt that Prophet (Peace be upon him) actually said that "He saw Allah"

Translation of Matn: Narrated by Abu Dharr (RA): I asked the Messenger of Allah (Peace be upon him): Did you see your Lord? The Prophet (Peace be upon him) replied: He is Nur (نُورٌ) I Saw Him ( انى أَرَاهُ[Sahih Muslim, Hadith # 351, Hadith number from Sharh Sahih Muslim by Allama Ghulam Rasool Sa’eedi – Damat Barkatahum Alia]

This is the perfect translation which actually proves that Prophet (Peace be upon him) did indeed see Allah.

We will show word by word translation over here:

He is light
انى =    I, me, myself
أَرَاهُ =    saw Him

However if we do not take this translation then Sahih Muslim will contradict itself as right in the next hadith it says:

I saw Light (i.e. for Sure I saw Allah)

Another Proof:
Imam Badr ud din Ayni (Rahimuhullah) the commentator of Bukhari said:

Translation: Ibn Khuazaima (rah) narrated with “strong chain” from Anas bin Malik (ra) that he said:Muhammad (salallaho alaihi wasalam) saw his Lord, same is narrated from Ibn Abbas (ra) and his disciples like K’ab al Ahbar (ra), Zuhiri (rah) and Ma’mar (rah), Imam Abdur Razzaq (rah) narrates from Ma’mar who quotesImam Hassan Basri (rah) who used to say: I take an oath that Muhammad (salallaho alaihi wassalam) saw his Lord, Ibn Khuzaima (rah) has also proven it (sight of Allah) from Urwa bin Zubayr (ra) [Umdat al Qari, Sharah Sahih al Bukhari, Volume No. 19, Page No. 198]

Taking an oath by Imam Hasan al-Basri (rah) is not a minor thing. Those who do not know the standing of Imam Hasan al-Basri (rah) in narrating hadiths does not understand even the basics.

NRCBM

PAF Kiet organized a wonderful conference i.e. National Research Conference of Business Management today at 6th March 2016. It will continue till tomorrow i.e. 7th March 2016. There was a panel discussion after the inauguration speech of the PAF Kiet dean which found to be very helpful for students who are enrolled in PhD and MPhil program of several universities.

Dean IoBM, Dr. Irfan Hyder embarked upon the role of supervisors and difficulties coming across during the process of course work and thesis. Iqra University fellows highlighted the criteria given by HEC and also told how they are focused to cover the basic requirements given by HEC. They informed that 7 people have been awarded with PhDs in Business Management degree since 2007. And currently there are more than 50 students enrolled in PhD program.

Dr. Gobin and Dr. Zaki Rashidi also highlighted the culture of doing PhD. Dr. Rashidi specially enlightened the usage of new methodologies and recommended the scholars to explores more research techniques and new methodologies so that true research can be performed. He was not satisfied with the current work being produced in Pakistan. Dr. Tariq Jalees from PAF KIET also shed the light upon the importance of PhD program and how research can be useful for the society.

After the speeches there was panel discussion and question answer session in which some fellows asked the scholars about difficulties in PhD programs and research and clarify the ambiguities in their minds. This discussion was followed by the lunch after that paper presentations were scheduled in different rooms.

While attending few presentations I came across the research work being done by fellows and the chairpersons giving them suggestions with critical analysis. It was found to be very useful as positive criticism will definitely guide the researchers and lead them tot he correct direction.

Iqra University ranked 1

As soon as HEC announced university ranking list, there is a strong criticism raised by the masses that how could so and so university got top ranking? All of us have an affection with the institution where we are taught and that is why we all want our own institution always remain on top because it is the thing we should be proud of.

I have done bachelors from NED University, then did my MBA from IoBM, still enrolled in the PhD program of IoBM and these are the parameters on which I feel proud that I have been taught in the best institutions of Pakistan. Fortunately I got a chance of teaching in Iqra University as a visiting faculty. And that was the starting point where I came to know how IU has been getting the top ranking.
In terms of faculty, IU has the 3 campuses in Karachi and all having good numbers of PhD faculty, not only this but I found that minimum qualification each faculty has is atleast Masters/MPhil and most of them are already doing PhD from reputed institutes. Whereas when I compare it with IoBM, no doubt IoBM has a good reputation but it lacks in the number of full time PhD faculty teaching in this institute. Being a research student I can see that in 2-3 years IoBM will be in a good position as they have been working to convert this university in a research institution and soon they will be producing good number of PhDs.

As a common Pakistani and Karachiite, we have been listening that IBA is the best business school since years. But really it is? The institute has not even PhD program in business education. Currently IBA has only 2 PhD programs in CS, Economics and Mathematics. So how can it be known as a "great business school" when it even don't qualify for providing best and supreme business education? I know people must say that the employability ratio of IBA is far more better than any of the other business institutes.

But do we really care about it ? 1000/1000 graduates of IBA gets job thats why its ratio is better but 2000/4000 BBAs of IU gets job and you say its employability is 50 % ... Is it the way of comparison we want ???  and then I would like to ask that what does it mean by employability ? and Entrepreneur opening his own milk shop while being taught from IU may be far more better than that graduate of IBA who is silent President of his own dreams ( pls don't refer it to somewhere else ;) )

Globally institutes are getting recognized from their researches. We have heard about cancer detection strategy found by a Pakistani PhD ( who is an employee of foreign university) and the lady having Pakistani birth but working in LIGO team who discovered the gravitational waves. why these people are getting famous? just because of their research. And unfortunately in Pakistan, we don't hear this word until a student get into MPhil program. Most of our masters degree program are not compelled with the research thesis and publications involved.Whereas in foreign countries, student start writing papers since their graduation.  You can raise arguments that why HEC is giving university ranking list as a governmental institution but you cannot say that its parameters for the assessment are wrong.

http://www.hec.gov.pk/InsideHEC/Divisions/QALI/Others/RankingofUniversities/Documents/Quality%20and%20Research%20Based%20Ranking%20of%20Pakistan%20HEIs_Updated.pdf

You may disagree with the post but you need to bring an authentic mechanism at the state level and if you cannot then please get agreed that HEC ranking lists is authentic....!

Money Laundering accusations are removed from Altaf Hussain

So finally its been clear that all accusations of money laundering on Mr Altaf Hussain are removed. MET Police has cancelled the bail of the MQM's chief Altaf Hussian. I remembered what has been called in past. I just want to recall it just to clear the difference between a "MUJRIM" and "MULZIM".

See what Imran Khan said about Altaf Hussain and money laundering case:

What Mr. Ch Nisar said on media

Not only political leaders, see what media journalists decided that Altaf Hussain will surely be accused and even imprisoned due to this case.

While facing the political pressure from Pakistan ( PTI ) some Britisher came forward against their own system and tried to prove Altaf Hussain a criminal ...  a series of program was run by BBC and on facing some legal threats they stop on airing further programs.

Whereas in Pakistan there are many media judges who think themselves superior than Supreme Court and the UK's judges. See Dr Shahid Masood :

he even said that the case is more dangerous than a killing case...

Not only Dr Shahid Masood, see others like Mr. Kashif Abbasi sahb linked it with Dr Imran Farooq Case

Mr Shahzaib Khanzada also tried to put his input and also connected indian citizen with Altaf Hussain and tried to proved him again a RAW agent...

And finally here comes a good news from London and its been proved that Mr Altaf Hussain is not a money launderer so are all these leaders and journalists feel ashamed of what they have been calling him since 2 years.

Parents of Prophet Muhammad s.a.w

Some people have misconception that the parents of Prophet Mohammad s.a.w were non-muslim or idolaters (Ma'z ALLAH). Even though this has never been proved from any riwayat that parents of Prophet s.a.w were idolaters. Instead there are several ahadith in Prophet s.a.w cried and remembered his parents in good words and these words couldnt be used for idolaters.

Please find what Prophet s.a.w said for his mother Bibi Amna r.a
