A conspiracy or a planned strategy? I am still confused.. How could a muslim state allow an architect to promote a non-islamic creature through his architectural designs? Initially I didn't believe this but when I saw the pictures I was shocked..... Burj Al Arab is the biggest cross on the earth that has been nailed on a Muslim state..

This is probably an outdated news and it is all over the internet, anyway, Burj al Arab was designed by Tom Wright of WS Atkins PLC, during the designing stage, the world was told that it was built to resemble a sail, but critics are claiming that Wright designed the cross after he had a dream to have a Christian influence in a Muslim country. http://blog.miragestudio7.com/burj-al-arab-world-largest-christian-cross/1419/

I was proud on dubai that they are being developed more than any other muslim state and they are becoming a symbol of dignity and peace all over the world. But may I ask you that why UAE is the only arab country left which is not facing any chaos these days? Why isn't any so called REVOLUTION striking over there ? The whole islamic nation is suffering but there is no movement in UAE.

I think UAE should clearly declares its policies. Every non muslim has a right to follow his/her religion in an islamic state but they should follow the rules of the state too. I think mufti hazraat and islamic scholor should discuss this issue that is it allowed for any muslim nation to accept such things or not?

It was not a mistake. Its architect was a christian and he proposed such design. although he claimed that this idea never crossed his mind but if it wouldn't be a planned conspiracy then why shouldn't dubai government took an action against it. Designs can be changed accordingly ...

  1. dude.. who cares if its a cross.. its a good design.. we muslims are so hyper sensitive.. If its a cross will that mean who ever enters the building will turn into a christian? or will it mean that the building has become a church. broaden ur horizon friend.

  2. Its a good design I oblige... But can you offer namaz under the statue of bhagwan inside or outside any temple ? who cares , I know....

But my point is if nobody cares then why Saudi Arabia banned the UAE number plates cars having burj al arab image?

This is the responsibility of the state to stop these activities and I wonder UAE claims themselves an Islamic state... we should see first that is it allow in Islam to do this? if it is so then why KSA banned the entrance of such cars?

  3. Seriously, its kind of weird, we know the reality of this grand architecture, who can afford it and what they do.... so as far as the CROSS is concerned its beautiful, its not like it was just built there without anyone even getting notice of it,, there was a whole team involved which included MUSLIMS as well, when there was no objection at that time, then why now, we have our own matters to look into and solve instead of creating controversies which have no end;I agree with Umair, its not like someone would turn into a Christian by stepping into the building!!!
